Manufacturing Technology Advisor Fermentation
The Manufacturing Technology advisor will champion MT related processes in multiple regions in the CSST environment to ensure optimal efficiency, operation and capacity utilization of new, existing installations and MT management systems. Will captures shares and defines from deep fundamental analyses the best practice and develops innovation for business excellence within Cargill worldwide. Will partner with the key stake holders of this function to capture and deliver both tangible and intangible value for Cargill. Will initiate, judge, develop, implement and manage high performance innovation (HPI) projects.
Develops drives and tracks manufacturing technology standards deployed in the CSST production plants. Can work with and lead multidisciplinary teams (PPD, GFR, Engineering, Engineering R&D, Strategic Sourcing, CI, M&R, EH&S, FSQR) to scale up and commercialize processes for new products. Is responsible to have the right work streams in place to perform analysis of alternative processes including licensing of third party technologies and site-selection for all phases of a project Is responsible for process benchmarking in expertise and work closely together with the ops and regional MT group to define action plans/priorities and necessary resources that will realize the potential identified value. Focus on process safety, providing subject matter expertise in process safety and process risk assessments. Provides the deep subject matter expertise for the design standards, process capabilities, hazard analysis, process safety and risk management, performance monitoring, technical training, and incremental and/or significant improvements for a given manufacturing technology. This position is a member of the manufacturing technology organization for CSST. The processes include working with multiple materials and will involve mechanical, (bio) chemical and physical modifications to produce safe and functional solutions for our customers in a safe, regulatory compliant and cost-effective way. Translate his expertise into the development of Technology Transfer Packages, IP protection and competitive intelligence. ? Work closely together with product line managers in technological evaluation of new business projects. ? Provide expertise and leadership in food safe process design and engineering requirements, resulting in new/improved standards. ? Process development and process definition for new products, either developing new to the world or using new to the industry technologies. ? Provide process expertise and leadership in quality improvement matters. ? Continuously improving process safety through structural process improvements using all available CI tools.

Decision Making Responsibility ? Identification of process improvement opportunities & appropriate technical analysis to allow prioritization of projects identified. ? Recommend resource allocation to specific projects to group leader. ? Decide on process design for new process, PRA related issues, and in expansion projects based on transparent criteria ? Formulate in design, ensure data consistency & provide reporting of cross BU benchmarking systems. ? Work with local manufacturing technology in preparation & execution of new process projects /trials Position Challenges / Working Challenges Maintaining effective global communication links with local manufacturing technology & process experts ensuring knowledge is transferred & best Practice identified throughout different businesses. Manufacturing Technology Design & Capabilities (40%) ? Utilizes and deploys expertise of manufacturing technology principles and practices and partners with Engineering discipline leaders to deploy the 10 engineering discipline design requirements for a manufacturing technology that has the capability to deliver the product(s) and/or service(s) meeting the market requirements and internal/external risk tolerances and standards while achieving the best total cost to operate. ? Development of Technology Transfer Packages for the relevant technologies in scope. ? Partners with Functional Leadership (R&D, Engineering, Engineering R&D, Strategic Sourcing, CI, M&R, EH&S, FSQR) to implement/develop/define the design requirements for the manufacturing technology. ? Provide deep subject matter expertise in customer related questions. ? Responsible and accountable for translating technical process expertise to advise/consult on technology implementation of policies, procedures and standards as well as planning and execution of manufacturing technology assignments. ? Collaborates across the regions to identify, monitor and where applicable, implement manufacturing technology design improvements for existing facilities. ? Provides lessons learned from the regional technology to the manufacturing technology leader to continuously improve manufacturing technology design requirements.
