Marketing Assistant

Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager this person will work closely with the internal marketing assisting the Marketing Department and other departments with event planning, mailings and administrative support.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.Administrative SupportAssist in preparing for any corporate marketing needs, such as industry trade show presence, customer appreciation events and employee training meetings (assist with packing and printing materials)Mail marketing materials (literature leave behinds for reps, catalogs, samples, giveaways, customer campaigns, customer rebates, tradeshow follow up, seasonal route folders) and organize mailing listsManage donation/sponsorship requestsOrder business cards and assist with ANIMART attire ordersManage the Partner Plus Rewards Program sign upsOther administrative duties such as printing: launch plans, coupons, invites, etc. Strategic Commercial Team Segment Lead SupportAssist market segment leads (Dairy, Beef, Dealer, Vet) with delivery of tactics to ensure they have necessary tools to sellAssist in the direct the creation of campaign sales promotional materials: technical bulletins, flyers, direct mailers, brochures, ads (online and print), newsletters, catalog, and support materials as applicable for assigned market segmentsRun ROI reports to measure progress of campaignsProof all marketing materials according to the ANIMART Brand Style Guide Writing Styles and Abbreviations, including the ANIMART, Stockmen’s and MWS catalogsWrite/revise eblast and newsletter articles as neededPortfolio Management SupportAssist market analyst with coordination between marketing, sales, and distributor reps to introduce new products to the ANIMART team for assigned market segmentsAssist market analyst in the communication of vendor pricing programs and be the liaison between purchasing and sales for special promotionsUpdate pricing in the system.Run other reports as requested (new products tracker, vendor sales, etc.) Marginal Functions:Miscellaneous projects as assigned Qualification Requirements:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience: Requires a minimum of High School Education and extra courses in Microsoft Word and Excel.  In-Design and Photoshop classes and experience and knowledge of animal health and agriculture are a plus.Language Skills:  Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, managers, and other employees. Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Other skills and Abilities:  Exceptional Organizational skills. Web experience and working knowledge, understanding and interest in livestock production-based agriculturePhysical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and walk; use hands to finger, handle or touch objects; type/data entry for long periods of time; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision. Tools/Equipment Used:  Computer, phone, copy machine, postage machine, and any other business machines as needed.Work Environment:  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this jobWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to fluctuations in cold/heat conditions.
