Main functions for position:The Marketing Communications Coordinator will report to the Marketing Communications Manager and be based out the Milwaukee, Wis. office. Key responsibilities of the successful candidate include, but may not be limited to, supporting the Marketing Communications team with tracking and accessing marketing tactics, scheduling, planning and supporting meetings and events, assisting in supplying materials to sales team and maintaining office supplies and order. Tasks associated with this position include:Work alongside Marketing Communications team and agency teams to track and assess outcomes of marketing tacticsSupport Marketing Communications team by distributing literature, product samples, giveaway items, etc. for internal and external requestsManage product literature inventoryWorking with internal creative team and agency to develop and execute advertising campaigns, sales materials, public relations and digital projectsHelping manage and enforce brand guidelines with larger teamConducting media relations and maintaining relationships with trade editorsSchedule/coordinate 10-15 internal and 3-5 customer meetings/trade shows/special events per year, with occasional travel to provide onsite supportCoordinate travel, logistics, appointments and onsite needs for meetings in Milwaukee officeMaintain relationships and negotiate rates with local hotelsSupport team with basic IT needs by facilitating requests and help liaise with internal IT teamMaintain office and conference supplies, cleanliness and orderAssist Commercial Director with filing and logging company contracts Required qualifications:Technical skillsEssential: Four year degree required in communications, public relations, marketing or agriculture or animal related fieldEssential: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with SharePoint preferredWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop)Ability to understand technical information, animal agriculture product and market trendsAbility to efficiently take meeting notes, record action items and correspond with larger team General criteriaExcellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize workAbility to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication skills, written and verbalAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWillingness to learn and perform various duties depending on the company's needsSome travel, both domestically and internationally, will be requiredEntry level position – 1-3 years of experience with agency or marketing communication internship(s) preferred Personal strengths Communication and attention to detail – Must have excellent communication and organizational skills – writing, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
