Their innovative portfolio of products helps produce cleaner fields, healthier crops and more abundant yields.The Marketing Manager identifies, assesses, and develops new business opportunities in the US and globally, provides leadership for new product development, and provides leadership and support in Marketing with business teams. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, implement, and execute the product category strategies to achieve the objectives of the company's annual and long-range business plan.This person possesses an expert level of understanding of Rice market and must be able to work cohesively with Field Development, Marketing, and Regulatory to achieve corporate goals.This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Develop and monitor 5-year product strategy plans and the annual marketing plan; define strategies, tactics, required resources, and quantification of results.Life Cycle Management: manage and set priorities, product positioning, formulation and packaging, timelines and action items.Analyze market data, market trends and competitor portfolio. Identify new opportunities for growth and work closely with COO to seek out opportunities to strengthen portfolio as well as assist with evaluation of development projects and new product additions.?Develop and define pricing and positioning for branded and post-patent products;??Develop and execute communication plans that effectively communicate brand positioning and competitive advantages.?Manage interface between Marketing and Sales for products in assigned portfolio; requires participation in Sales Team meetings and training, collaborating in support relationships with distribution customers, supporting Sales activities.Develop portfolio road maps for lead countries and evaluate channel strategies.?Education and/or Experience??This position requires a 4-year degree from an accredited institution in marketing or Agricultural-related field, and 7-10 years of experience in marketing and marketing management in the agricultural industry.This person will demonstrate an understanding of the marketing function, as well as the product development process, with solid understanding of Rice crop.The ability to develop strategic plans and annual business plans that align resources to achieve the marketing and financial goals.Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.Computer skills with expertise in Excel and other MS Office programs, as well as experience with SAP or similar ERP, is also required.?Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There may be long periods of sitting or driving.Travel is required for this position, including via car, plane, and other modes of transportation.
