?Evergreen FS is farmer-owned?cooperative serving the needs of customers in McLean, Woodford, Livingston, Dewitt and Macon counties. Providing a full range of farm supplies and services including agronomy, seed, fertilizer, fuel, structures, custom turf, financing, marketing advice and products. Specializing in the production of corn and soybeans and operate several grain elevators as part of our operations. Evergreen FS offers a full line of energy products including gasoline, ethanol, biodiesel, diesel fuel, propane and lubricants to our customers at competitive prices. Evergreen FS is a member of the GROWMARK system.?PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Under the direction of Agronomy Operations, Sales and Marketing staff, the Marketing / Operations Assistant will be responsible for a variety of customer service and administrative activities at a retail agronomy facility. These activities include first-hand communication with customers and employees, invoicing, inventory, reporting, marketing, planning, record-keeping, and maintain/repair location and equipment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Communicate clearly with customers, sales staff, operations employees, and the home office.?Perform accurate and timely billing of customer purchases of products and services using published prices and approved protocols. ?Use Agvance to create Blend Tickets, Product bookings, Delivery Tickets and other information necessary for daily location procedures to take place. ?Take initiative when admin duties are slow, to work in operations or with plant manager & sales staff.?Assist the location salesman with the Planning module of Agvance and any precision farming programs introduced. ?Organize and maintain customer accounts and market information for efficient and effective retrieval. ?Generate required reports for salesman, marketing staff and management as requested. ?Work closely with Precision Farming Programs. Become familiar with all department programs and procedures.?Order agronomy products for the facility as needed (i.e. seed, plant food, chemicals, ect). Record and report inventory as required by agronomy management. ?Invoice all incoming inventory in a timely manner.?Order and maintain office supplies (i.e. tickets, paper, computer supplies) to conduct business in a professional manner. ?Work with other location employees to maintain, rebuild and/or repair location, equipment, and property.Deliver product to customer as required including assisting with walk-in customers.?Assist with location inventory.?Ability to operate a fork lift or wrangler.?Establish excellent customer and employee relationships. ??OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Occasionally may be asked to drive and run local errands as requested.?May be required to cross-train and substitute for other administrative positions.?May be required to pick up/drop off local products or materials by request.?Performs all other duties as assigned.??REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires an Associate?s Degree in a business-related field, or the equivalent thereof, and 4 – 5 years or more of office related work experience to demonstrate advanced knowledge of professional communication skills, typing proficiency and Microsoft Office programs.?Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.? ?Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.?Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. ?Ability to work with a variety of billing, planning and blending programs and be able to develop spreadsheets for other business functions.??PHYSICAL DEMANDS?While performing duties pertaining to this job, individual may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. ??WORK ENVIRONMENT?Must be willing to work additional hours beyond the normal work week at various times throughout the year. These include, but are not limited to, seasons of heavy customer demand and month end procedures. ?While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions and extreme cold.
