Master Production Scheduler, Lodi, CA Golden Peanut and Tree NutsThis is a Salaried Exempt positionJob Description:Master Schedulers are charged with the responsibility of managing, establishing, reviewing, and maintaining a master schedule for select items. These managers have substantial product, plant, process, and market knowledge because their actions impact customer service, and material and capacity planning. Main Responsibilities: Responsible for working across multiple business units such as finance, sales operations, planners, buyers and manufacturing operations to obtain the best manufacturing strategy to meet the Company?s strategic goals.Analyze, understand and anticipate the customer needs, ensuring that they are reflected in production activities.Develop key planning initiatives to support the ongoing transformation and continuous improvement of systems and processes in the Master Scheduling organization along with other projects as directed by management.Assist in establishing planning strategies and policy to maintain MPS and drive efficiency improvements to support the growth of the business.Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI?s) to monitor master scheduling operations.Consistently deliver products and services to meet customer needs. Develop strategic objectives that focus on areas of quality, cost, flexibility, productivity, and speed. Consistently search for methods to develop an agile and committed departmental workforce. Assist manufacturing with process improvement and lean initiatives. Determine the need for material and capacity to address expected demand, execute the resulting plans, and update planning and financial information to reflect the results.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience Desired: Bachelor?s degree or equivalent and 5 to 7+ years of experience in supply chain and manufacturing.Must have a background in master scheduling preferably in food industry.Strong skill set in Excel is a must. Influence others; persuasively present thoughts and ideas; inspire commitment and ensure support for ideas.Understanding global forecasts in a medium/high volume, high mix manufacturing environment.Knowledge and experience with work order manufacturing processes.Demonstrate intellectual curiosity about why things are the way they are; challenge the status quo. Demonstrate concern for precision and thoroughness.Understanding Regulatory requirements within the food manufacturing industry.Ability to manage multiple objectives and priorities concurrently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.APICS or IBF certification a plusRelocation assistance is not available with this position.
