There is a mechanic position available on day shift at the ADM Mechanical facility, 2100 N Jasper Street in Decatur Illinois. Candidates shall have experience doing disassembly and assembly of pumps or gear boxes. Colleagues will work in a team atmosphere to repair and rebuild process pumps and gearboxes. There will be no out of town traveling and overtime will be worked as needed. Skill sets for this position includes; Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairsExamine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wearRepair or replace broken or malfunctioning parts of the equipmentClean, lubricate or adjust equipment partsRepair or maintain the operating conditions of the equipment to OEM specificationsReassemble equipment after completion of inspections or repairsRecord repairs and maintenance performedStudy blueprints or manufacturers? manuals to determine correct repair and assembly of pumpsRecord parts or materials used Experience working
gearboxes, centrifuges, blowers and pumps Other Qualifications: Able to work safely in a team environment and be quality conscienceAble to climb stairs and ladders, sit and stand for extended periods of timeAble to be an excellent welders and capable to be trained to weld on ASME equipmentAble to lift 50 poundsAble to read and interpret blueprintsExhibit regular and prompt attendanceDisplay strong communication skills (oral and written) High school diploma/GED is required
