Job DescriptionSummary: ? ?Provides day to day maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe operating fleet at the lowest cost by performing the following duties: Maintains company-owned light, medium and heavy vehicles and trailers by reviewing shop orders, DVIR reports, or listening to operator description of problem. Makes repairs to mechanical failures by removing, replacing, assembling, and installing parts and components. Involving sheet metal, frames, suspensions, electrical ignition, fuel, steering, hydraulic, and braking systems; heating and A/C units, axles, tires, wheels, and coupling units.?Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Performs repairs and maintenance work in a productive, efficient and SAFE manner.Informs the lead technician when one assignment is completed and another work assignment is required.Indicates to the lead mechanic any repairs found to be necessary which were not previously assigned.Provides a list of parts needed to lead technician.Records all time spent and parts used on the appropriate forms provided.?Education/Experience Requirements:High school educationValid NC drivers license and acceptable MVRCDL-A preferredAt least 2 years experience in vehicle maintenance preferredMust own appropriate inventory of personal hand toolsMust be able to operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instructions, gauges, and meters.Must be able to operate hoisting and jacking equipmentMust be able to lift 100 poundsMust be able to operate computer equipmentWilling to work at least one weekend day or night per week as neededEqual Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans and Individuals with DisabilitiesApply for this job.
