It is located along the Columbia River. The Kennewick Agrium plant employees approximately 55 people and is a Solution Production Facility for Ammonia and Urea.Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Pipefitter/Welder Mechanic is responsible for the general evaluation, selection, installation, maintenance and repair of equipment assets at KFO in a safe efficient manner.Key Tasks:- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history.- Ensure continuous running of plant equipment through routine maintenance and repair.- Provide data for cause and failure analysis.- Read and interpret P&IDs, designs and metallurgical information.- Interpret and use appropriate API standards and practices.- Maintenance and repair of equipment in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.- Take part in planning and scheduling within work systems.- Provide support to plant improvement projects, working as part of a group.- Interpret and use appropriate standards and practices.- Participate in leadership and coordination activities during Turnarounds and Outages.- Support and participate in all activities required to ensure a safe workplace.The Ideal CandidateOutside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture. Culture at Agrium is the core of everything we do and our candidate must be respectful of diverse opinions and views.Skills:- Ability to operate Mobile equipment; Man Lifts and Fork Lifts.- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems, and identify possible solutions.- Possess an in depth knowledge of mechanical system and processes.- Ability to read, understand and adhere to safety procedures and policies.- Ability to use computers to perform work and complete necessary training, experience in Microsoft Office and SAP a plus.- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and team skills.- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Possess a strong safety mindset and willingness to stop work that appears to be unsafe.- High integrity, actively caring and pride in work values.Qualifications- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.- 5-10 years of welding experience or recent training/certifications in the required skills.- Solid understanding of maintenance practices and processes.- Possess current qualification of ASME B&PV Code Section 9 to weld the following in SMAW and GTAW in all positions: Base Metals (P1 through P11, and P43 through P45); Filter Metals (F1 through F6 and F43).- Have experience performing pipe welding to ASME Code B31.3 requirements, including radiography (x-ray) quality welds.Why Agrium?We want to grow with you.Offering a fast-paced environment coupled with great people is what sets Agriums culture apart from other career opportunities.
