Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Engineer
CHS has an exciting opportunity at our Myrtle Grove, LA Grain Export Terminal. We are looking for a Mechanical Integrity and Reliability (MI&R) Engineer to provide leadership for developing and instituting reliability, asset management and mechanical integrity programs, systems, processes and solutions that meet regulatory requirements. You must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff. To be successful you must have strong leadership attributes, time management skills and the ability to analyze cost to manage risk and implement plans.
You will: Acquire and analyze data, prepare diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports for defining recommendations to improve reliability.Define and institute the elements, sub-elements, systems, processes, standards, practices and procedures for asset management, reliability and mechanical integrity programs that yield a world class maintenance and reliability program.
Institute equipment criticality process, condition monitoring, Preventive Maintenance (PM) Optimization, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), failure investigation, failure analysis and history reporting.Develop and implement Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program for the terminal.Provide stewardship to ensure effective utilization of CMMS and software tools for managing the terminal assets.
Verify data and specification for assets and provide updates and corrections to ensure the information is centrally managed, valid, readily available when needed.
Develop and implement reliability metrics, dashboards and scorecards that will provide the state of the health and reliability performance of terminal assets.
Identify reliability bad actors, gather and analyze failure data to identify defects and implement focused solutions to eliminate defects.
Support the personnel development of the terminal work force by providing input on development of craft procedures, assisting with training of supervision, craft and operator personnel.Provide general terminal support as needed and when necessary provide 24-7 response to terminal emergencies. Cultivate and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in Engineering10 plus years of terminal experience diversified in plant engineering and/or maintenance, operations reliability, mechanical integrity and/or asset management to include: Working knowledge of CMMS systemsWorking knowledge of business processes for assets management, reliability and mechanical integrityExperience with inspection, vibration, thermography, tribology, ASME codes, API standards, OSHA requirements as related to the refinery industryThorough knowledge of methods for failure cause analysisPreferred Qualifications: (desired)Certifications in reliability, inspection, rotating equipment; Vibration, Thermography and Tribology, ASME codes and API standardsWorking knowledge of Maximo or SAP CMMS systemsProject Management knowledge and experience
