Mechanical Reliability Engineer – #01QZL
The primary function of the Mechanical Reliability Engineer will be to develop reliability and maintenance strategies for process equipment and systems, focusing on continued improvement to manage risk and to support the organization???s strategic objectives in the areas of environmental health and safety, asset performance, quality and operational reliability while driving down maintenance costs and improving plant on-stream time.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: ?? Works with the operations team to develop the Reliability Focus Improvement Plan focusing on elimination or reduction of losses ?? Supports the execution of the Focus Improvement Plan and ensures improvement efforts are prioritized and focused on the largest/most critical opportunities ?? Identify production losses and high maintenance cost assets, and develop strategies to reduce those losses and maintenance costs ?? Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures, focusing on On-Stream time, maintainability, quality, cost and regulatory compliance issues?? Develops, manages and validates the effectiveness of the site Asset Maintenance Strategies that include: o Value-added preventive maintenance taskso Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problemso Asset Health monitoring and reporting?? Evaluate and validate effectiveness of Asset Maintenance Strategies and focus improvement efforts. ?? Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis on major equipment failures and reoccurring failures?? Works with Project Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans?? Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria?? Participates in the final check out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications?? Support the implementation of reliability improvement projects?? Perform shop visits ??? Follow equipment overhauls / repairs?? Track cost savings associated with Continuous Improvement efforts?? Provide technical support with the development of Shutdown Work Scope?? Provide technical support during execution of critical S/D work?? Provide work direction and leadership to Reliability Technicians?? Provide mentorship and technical guidance to area Maintenance Engineers Qualifications:Requirements:B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering disciplineMinimum of 5 years prior experience in manufacturing in a maintenance / reliability role Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a diverse team composed of fellow engineers, operations personnel, maintenance personnel and leadership.Strong communications skills, both oral and written.strong decision ' making and problem solving skills.Must be able to perform work in a manufacturing plant environment, including ascending/descending stairs and ladders.Computer proficiency in Windows passed programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong safety ethicPreferred:10+ years of prior experience in manufacturing in a maintenance / reliability roleApply for this job.
