There are over 8,750 NAAE members nationwide who are agriculture teachers/instructors in middle schools, secondary schools, and postsecondary institutions, agricultural education faculty in colleges and universities, statewide coordinators of agricultural education, college/university agricultural education students, and others who support the school-based agricultural education profession.?Title: NAAE Meeting Planner / Program AssistantReports To: NAAE Executive Director and NAAE Associate Executive Director?Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct supervision of full-time or permanent part-time employees; with input from senior staff (executive director and associate executive director),some supervision of temporary part-time employees, student workers and student interns. Salary and Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Candidates withadvanced degrees are welcome to apply.?Skills: Strong communications, leadership, management, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with diverse people and in teams; self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work with limited day-to-day supervision; meticulous attention to detail, organization, and punctuality; strong desire to complete work thoroughly and on time; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; knowledge and skill using personal computers, standard computer software (including the Microsoft Office suite), and office machines; ability to travel independently throughout the United States. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching and some lifting; requires normal range hearing and vision. The strongest candidates will be persons who can produce quality products, meet deadlines, and work independently with limited day-to-day direction.??Experience: Education, experience, and understanding of meeting planner responsibilities in association management. Education, experience, and understanding of program management within associations.Knowledge and experience in agriculture, education, agricultural education, public policy, and career and technical education preferred.?Job Summary: Serve as the meeting planner and program assistant for this 501(c)(3) not-forprofit education-related professional membership association, which serves school-basedagricultural education professionals throughout the United States and its territories.?General Duties and Responsibilities:*Report to the executive director and/or associate executive director on humanresources/personnel related matters including annual performance appraisal, programmaticinitiatives, day-to-day assignments, projects, and other duties as assigned.Perform meeting planning for all NAAE activities and events including, but not limited to:?NAAE conventionRegional NAAE meetingsNAAE activities at the National FFA ConventionAgricultural Education Strand of the ACTE National Policy Seminarand other events as neededCoordinate travel arrangements for NAAE travelers including, but not limited to:NAAE board of directorsNAAE staffNAAE award recipientsParticipants in NAAE projects and activities (such as Agriscience Ambassadors,professional development workshops, and other current and future initiatives)NAAE summer internsAssist with logistics for NAAE awards/recognition, scholarship, and internship programsComplete invoicing for project travel expenses, especially special projects of the NationalFFA FoundationAssist with project management as assigned by the executive director and the associateexecutive directorOperate within the approved budget of the organization related to meeting planning forNAAEExemplify traits as outlined in the NAAE Leadership HandbookOther professional duties as assigned by the executive director and associate executive directorThis is not an all-inclusive list, but rather a general listing of the duties of the position.?Apply for this job.
