The Biologicals Delivery Team is seeking an intern who will collaborate with the Sequencing team and Bioinformatics team to generate and interpret microbial genome and transcriptome sequencing data in support of microbial technology and product development. The role will encompass multi-disciplinary knowledge of microbiology, molecular biology, formulation and bioinformatics. Ability to do literature search, summarize and interpret data is essential, along with effective verbal and written communication. An eagerness to learn and willingness to improve is a must. Dates for this summer internship are May 13 – August 2 of 2019 Qualifications:Required:Enrolled at a university within the U.S. in pursuit of a graduate degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA or above on a 4.0 scale.Must be returning to school to continue program of study upon completion of internship, or continuing on to pursue an advanced degree in the fall. Hands-on experience in a Microbiology or Molecular Biology Laboratory.Proficiency in aseptic technique and/or bioinformatics data mining.Ability to work independently within a team environment. Ability to record experimental procedures and data in a clear, accurate manner; effective communication skills (verbal and written).Apply for this job.
