PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Provides jobsite leadership including managing budgets, crew, equipment and safety, while providing a positive construction experience for patrons at commercial grain facilities.SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP?Provides leadership to Millwright Laborers assigned to applicable job sites.?ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?????? ?Serves as primary backup to the Foreman.?Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.?Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and?plumb bobs.?Position steel beams to support machines and equipment, using blueprints and manuals to determine work procedures.?Move machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.?Signal crane operator to place assemblies and align units.?Level and plumb and establish centerlines, using straight edges, levels, and transits.?Assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundations or other structures, using proper tools and equipment.?Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.?Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.?Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, passenger vehicles, etc.?Interpret sales contracts, construction manuals, material lists, and backorders.?Keep accurate records of time and expenses spent on projects?OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Determine the kind of tools or equipment needed to do a job.?Determine causes of operating error and decide what to do about it.?Teach others how to accomplish tasks successfully.?Control operation of equipment or systems.?Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedure.?Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.?Coach and develop others or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.?Maintain a safe, clean job site.?Follows GROWMARK?s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.?Performs all other duties as assigned.?REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof and at least 3 years of millwright experience.?Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.?Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.?Must be able to obtain and maintain a CDL.?Position requires manual dexterity, ability to use your hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.?Position requires static strength, the ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.?Position requires near vision, able to see objects at close range, within a few feet.?Frequently required to lift 75+lbs.?Frequently required to work at varying heights with your hands using ladders, scaffolds, or structures.?Demonstrates planning, organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.? Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.?Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)?Ability to be away from home for extended periods, job sites are throughout the Midwest most often.?Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.?
