Culture at Nutrien is the core of everything we do and all employees are respectful of diverse opinions and views.This is an hourly position with no direct reports and will report the Mine Production Supervisor.Key Tasks:Operating heavy equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, skidders, excavators and haul trucks in support of mining operations. Assist in the maintaining of process equipment by performing Operations Driven Reliability tasks such as checking and maintaining fluid levels, inspecting equipment and initiating repair work by utilizing existing maintenance programs. Participating in refuse collection and disposal as well as site recycling programs. Aids in redirecting and rerouting power distribution equipment in support of operational goals. Helps to maintain and repair process equipment using hand and power tools as well as cutting and welding equipment.Operating Draglines in a relief operator capacity as needed. Operating production processes remotely using computers equipped with Process Logic Control Software.Follow safety and environmental guidelines always while on the Job. Follow the Code of Conduct always. Actively participate in site safety programs.Recognize, report and eliminate or mitigate all hazards in found in the work area.Responsible for performing accurate and thorough documented work area inspections in compliance with MSHA Regulations.Attend Safety meetings and scheduled training.Communicate with the Shift Supervisor, in a timely manner, concerning any abnormal situations or conditions in areas of responsibility.Communicate with Maintenance or Electricians to perform Energy Isolation and permitting of equipment at the jobsite when maintenance or repairs are required.Communicate with relief in a manner that honestly and accurately describes issues and conditions that will be encountered by your relief.
