MPS Continuous Improvement Specialist Cotton Seed Supply Chain Lubbock TX Bayer is rolling out a new continuous improvement initiative at our sites in Lubbock TX, Eloy AZ, and Hollandale MS. This role will sit in our new, state-of-the-art, cotton facility in Lubbock, and oversee the roll-out for all three locations. In this position, you will provide overall coordination of Monsanto Production System (MPS) implementation and sustainability at the three listed cotton seed production locations. You will drive success thru continuous improvements using lean practices as cultural changes are taking place. In this highly visible role, you will coordinate MPS implementation and sustainability by working closely with Site Leadership Team, Implementation Task Force, Process Leads as well as other site and global personal. This will ensure systems are used to drive opportunities & common standards through employee empowerment and a focus on customer needs. This link provides a video rendering of the new site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9KcNgtWlbwResponsibilities of the Position: Technical Understand MPS methodology, lean content and change management approach to successfully sustain MPS implementation at site Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in lean practices and facilitate the continuous improvement journey at the site Review continuous improvement opportunities with Implementation Task Force (ITF) and Site Steering Committee (SSC) Lead and work cohesively as a team member; interacting and building positive working relationships within the organization and across other functional groups and departments Coach / guide the team to ensure the recommendations and actions are followed to improve value for the site as issues and problems are fully visible to site leadership team Guide teams to evaluate improvements and prioritize implementation through tracking system Lead best practices team and continuous improvements / best practices internally and externally (network) Agility to support changes in a dynamic work environment demonstrating an innovative approach to problem solving Develop and review site key performance indicators that provide a clear tracking system on manufacturing performance and drive action Ensure quality processes that support customer centricity and a premium product delivered to the marketplace in partnership with seed production management, engineering, innovations, & IT Critical Skills Develop a strong knowledge of MPS Benchmark to other MPS resources Gain a deep understanding of the Business Needs of the organization Strong understanding of plant operations Focus on value delivery e.g. cost reduction, productivity improvement, behaviors and practices Strong leadership capability to bring out the best in teams through empowerment Must be open to new and unconventional ideas and approaches Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to positively impact change model behaviors Demonstrated analytical and decision making ability and strong attention to details and organization skills Demonstrated ability to lead and influence through a matrix organization Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
