NA Crop Protection Planning Lead – #01G25
Job Summary: This role provides oversight and direction to North America Crop Protection (CP) Production Planning and has ultimate responsibility for ensuring adequate supply of finished goods to meet Monsanto???s Glyphosate market requirements in NA (US, CAN and LAN). This role determines budget and LRP supply volumes, coordinates strategic inventory levels and is a member of strategic teams providing direction or input on new products, raw material supply, operational improvements and go to market approaches. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Duty/ResponsibilityEnsure the adequate supply of finished goods to meet Monsanto???s Crop Protection NA market requirements and ensure the best global cost positionEnsure that Glyphosate Finished goods and raw materials are available to meet forecasted sales demand in the US, LAN, Canada,3rd PartiesTranslate forecasted sales demand into Glyphosate production plans and forecasts for other raw material inputsProvide input and guidance on manufacturing capabilities and limitations to other key organizations such as NA Commercial, Customer Operations, and LogisticsCommunicate transparently and influence effectively across other roles and organizations to help balance global Glyphosate supplyKeep Production and Shipping Plans up to date and in alignment with forecasted demand, managing demand changes within global supply constraints and other requirementsProvide clear direction and priorities to manufacturing facilities.Provide forecasts and input to other processes such as LRPs and budgetsResponsible to manage inventory and working capital by using the SKU approval process, reworking obsolete product as required, and managing product life-cyclesProvide a point of contact for product information and customer inquiries, directing requests to others in the organization as necessaryManage contracts, forecasts, and customer relations for 3rd party accounts as necessaryActively influence new formulation development by providing cost estimates, schedules, and other data to Technology, Commercial, Manufacturing and other affected organizations Provide leadership and guidance to the Planning Lead sitting in Canada and the Supply Planning Lead for LAN.Actively participate in NA commercial business teams representing manufacturing interests. Drive as appropriate, changes within the business that leverage Monsanto???s manufacturing cost and operational advantage.**Note – we are recruiting for two positions – NA Crop Protection Planning Lead and the Global CP Supply Chain Planning Manager for Selective Chemistry. Successful candidates may be considered for one or both roles** Qualifications:Minimum Required Qualifications for the Position:Required skills/experienceBachelors Degree or equivalent.5+ years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain functionsMinimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing facility, supply chain, logistics, or planning organization. Desired skills/experiencePrevious Supply Chain Chemical Plant experience and/ or Crop Protection Business will be valued.Prior experience with production planning activities. Competencies/SkillsThe position requires leadership skills involving multiple disciplines. Ideal candidate must be dependable with attention to detail, strong personal initiative and willingness to learn and ability to work in a team environment.Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess:Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to business dynamics in fast pace environmentAbility to prioritize work load.
