National Account Manager
Overview:Direct key sales and marketing activities to maximize sales volume and margins in order to achieve the highest return on net assets for rice products. This position will contact assigned customer accounts, or prospects, to sell the organization’s rice product line. The primary function will be to manage the sales of rice products to medium and large size retail and food service accounts. Bunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Essential Functions:•Direct focus on maintaining and growing customer base in the domestic food processor, Asian food service and retail markets.•Develop PIRMI house brands into the Asian food service and retail markets. Knowledge of brand development and execution in the marketplace a must.•Support export sales efforts into various International markets when needed•Responsible for price quotations and margin control decisions between paddy prices and prime sales product pricing components•Analyze and coordinate the production and packaging mix to optimize run-time and supply chain efficiency with operations, packing/loading and logistics managers•Work closely with the Director of sales on strategic planning responsibilities•Work closely with sales and customer service staff•Develop and track domestic sales budget by product, type and product package; coordinate with domestic sales, understanding overall budget goals to optimize mill capability•Maintain and grow customer relationships•Coordinate customer shipments with Bunge North America (BNA) customer service representatives and traffic logistics on order fulfillment.•Negotiate and close sales opportunities•Ensure customer focus initiatives, and coordinate activities with quality control, product specifications and packaging development•Gather competitive intelligence and market conditions; establish and maintain a market model•Address customer credit and receivables for existing and new customers•Maintain strong relationships with customers/buyers and their operations personnel•Coordinate and understand the customer’s needs and what the plant is able to produce (mill balance/sales mix)•Address quality and service issues with appropriate department to resolve customer quality complaints.•Coordinate with BUNGE customer service representatives in the management of customer contract pricing, balances and position reporting•Coordinates use of Company resources (e.g. technical, advertising) to provide value added services to accounts; work with marketing personnel designated to milling•Prepares sales presentations and proposals for key customer initiatives and supports other sales staff to ensure the necessary tools are available to make value-added sales•Help to create, maintain and share proper reporting documents required by management•Bachelor's in Business, Ag Economics and/or Marketing preferred•Minimum of four years’ experience in selling to food processors, food service and retail•Additional Bachelor's in Food Science or Science related field a plus•Asian ( Japanese, Korean and Chinese) secondary language skills a plus•Strong work ethic, organizational and excellent interpersonal skills •Solid logistics understanding – pricing, equipment types and export dynamics•Must be a self-starter with ability to work on own initiative•Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data•Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Office, basic SAP skills preferred.•Ability to travel 50%Apply for this job.
