For more information about us please visit purposeSet vision, lead, develop and support operational sales activities that result in 1) more days sales reps (SRs) are in front of customers and 2) District managers (DMs) are coaching SRs.Seeking new opportunities for sales productivity improvements by challenging the status quo.Create a highly functional National Sales Operations Team (NSOT) to ensure operational sales activities are understood, well executed with issues promptly resolved.Develop and lead the national sales operations team to ensure high quality operational service and support is delivered to all commercial units (CUs).Build and maintain an open and honest dialogue with commercial unit leadership to understand their operational challenges, identify solutions, and co-develop an implementation planReport back to the Sales Leadership team key milestones/deadlines over the next 30-60-90 days including any operational metricsCollaborate with the broader sales services team to ensure the broader sales services teams agenda is implemented.Build and maintain a collaborative working relationship with internal Syngenta stakeholders, requesting field sales force time, to ensure minimal sales disruption.Provide direction/inputs for the implementation and enhancement of Salesforce.comAccountabilitiesCoaching and developing National sales operations specialists/process lead to ensure delivery of their performance objectives. This includes challenging the team to ensure delivery of the broader team objectives and support to ensure they can effectively do their job.Lead the National Sales Operations Team (NSOT); facilitate ongoing operational dialogue through conference calls and quarterly face to face meetings.Partners with various Syngenta departments and 3rd parties to streamline, optimize non-market facing activities requiring SR/DM involvement. Provides a centralized resource to help execute non-market facing activities when needed.Identify and provide developmental opportunities for the CU Sales Operations teams to develop themselves and their District Operations Specialists (DOSs).Build and maintain trust and open dialogue with CU heads and CU operations manager to encourage regular feedback on operational improvement plans including issue resolution.Support a collaborative relationship with the marketing programs team, finance, CU leadership, head of sales, customer service and marketing to ensure the CP & Seedcare exceptions process meets our commercial needs, is functioning, and is trained.Strong working relationship with Sales Analytics to ensure they are aware and prepared for upcoming (seasonal) reporting requirements such as BAM, Seedcare, schedule purchase, etc.Partner with the Go-to-market lead to understand the account management strategy and to ensure the sales operations teams are prepared to fully support and execute the strategy.Partner with the SFDC manager to identify opportunities for sales operations to support and train on SFDC functionality and new releases.Sales Services support as neededKnowledge, experience & capabilitiesCritical knowledgeExperience and understanding of crop protection and seed care business processesBusiness process design, development and implementationUnderstanding of SFDC, IS systems and data engineering conceptsStrong knowledge of Syngenta business and sales transactionsStrong written and oral communication skillsCritical experienceStrong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detailsHigh capability as related to current IS systems and dependencies.Strong competency in data design, analysis and presentationsAbility to proficiently analyze and document customer requirements of varying complexityCritical technical, professional and personal capabilitiesProficiency in communicating to both business and technical resources Knowledge of SFDC, RMS, OMS, AGBIZ or other automation functionalities Customer facing skills: manage relationships, build trust, and offer support.Ability to work under tight deadlines, and across multiple projects and functions.Critical leadership capabilitiesCapability to lead variety of projects with multiple levels of complexity Strong collaborative skills in order to engage with multiple Syngenta Departments to understand issues and integrate ideas to resolve problemsPrioritizes actions and ensures appropriate support and resources.Gains commitment of key reports and stakeholders in a compelling way.Manages risk and is able to work with uncertainty.Critical success factors & key challenges Strategic / tactical planning and directionFinancial / business acumenManagement of functional and team interfacesInterface / influence business leadersAdditional informationTravel Requirements:10 – 15%All applicants must be eligible to work in the US.Two years in current position is preferred.
