NHC Shop Service Technician
JOB SUMMARYRepairs machines to the customer s satisfaction in the shop.? Removes, installs, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses of all CLAAS equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, electronic and computer applications, heating and air conditioning (HVAC).?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTroubleshoot and repair customer machines at customer jobsitesUse Various Manufacturers systems to order parts, troubleshoot machine systems and research problemsMachinery InspectionMachinery Set-Up and AdjustmentUse laptop to enter labor, fill out service reports and complete warranty reportsUse service manuals and parts books to look up specs and parts for repairsAdheres to safety regulations and company policiesDemonstrates regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location?OTHER FUNCTIONSOther duties as assigned by managementFill in for supervisor as neededTrain new employees and student interns?REQUIREMENTSTech School Degree or two plus years industry experiencePrior experience in troubleshooting methods and tools requiredMost provide personal tools for positionExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsFarm background desirableAbility to operate large machineryValid driver s license required with verifiably continued safe driving historyFamiliar with Microsoft Office Suite?PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to see, hear and speak well enough to use a telephone, computer and cell phone, and to present and explain product details to customersAbility to navigate into and around assigned machinery to work on specified areasMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeFollows all safety rules, regulations and policiesAbility to bend, stoop and pick up objectsAbility to lift up to 35 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally?WORKING CONDITIONS:Typical dealership repair/office/field environment.?The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.?
