NIR Forage Lab Manager
Company seeking a Full Time (Exempt Status) NIR Forage Lab Manager to serve as a working process manager for a NIR forage lab which will primarily support the dairy industry in the surrounding region of Madison, Wisconsin. This position will work independently with guidance, support, and protocols established from the company’s out of state headquarters. This is a new lab location requiring the individual hired to assist with instrument and lab set up.This individual will efficiently and accurately execute all stages of the process to include sample preparation through the formulation of results. Independence, initiative, follow through, and reliability are all required attributes of this role. Schedule flexibility is a must and daily and seasonal sample volume will fluctuate. A background in the dairy industry is highly desirable but not required. Responsibilities: Work independently to carry out all processes in the NIR forage labOpening/sorting of packagesDry matter determination of forage samplesOperate and maintain Udy Mill for grinding forage samplesNear Infrared Spectroscopy: scan and accurately choose correct equation based on forage typeAccurately log client, sample, and billing info into databaseCommunicate effectively with parent companyServe as the on-site point of contact for clienteleDemonstrate the knowledge and professionalism needed to support and grow client base in Wisconsin regionDemonstrate a commitment to accuracy and timeliness of results, ensuring client expectation of same day turnaround is metInterview/schedule additional staffing support as volume dictations through the company’s paid/unpaid internship program Job Type: Full-time Salary: $35,000.00 to $42,000.00 /yearApply for this job.
