Beachwood, OH Where the ChemistryHappens The Non Conformance Manager (NCM) will implement,coordinate and improve the Non Conformance Management process within the Construction Chemicals business unit, be the primary contact for SAP/QM NCM and to increase the quality and effectivenessof the SAP/QM NCM systems. You'll also need to be able to develop processes, train, support, and educateusers in the NCM process. This positionis responsible for maintaining the Quality Assurance and Quality ManagementSystems Functions for Construction Chemicals in North America related toNon-Conformance Management. On the technology side, the NCM Managermeasures and analyzes trends, verifies effectiveness, and manages qualityactivities to continually improve and ensure effective use of SAP QM moduleNon-Conformance Management, Cost of Poor Quality, and related qualityobjectives. The incumbent measures andanalyzes trends to continually improve: product quality in manufacturing andservice to our customers. This includesdevelopment of quality system KPI metrics, identifying what quality systemsneed to be improved or implemented, training personnel, communicating acrossthe organization and ensuring customer feedback is acted upon. You will work across all sites andfunctional groups of the Construction Chemicals organization to implement initiatives needed todrive continuous improvement and be able to communicate and train on oursystems, capabilities and philosophies. Formula for Success Manage Construction Chemicals Non-Conformance Management system and contribute to the Quality Systems Management programs within North and Central America.
Establish processes and training for manufacturing sites and other functional areas in accordance with company quality policies, ISO 9001 and nonconformance protocols.
Drive & support, where necessary or as requested ? including but not limited to NCM System, FTQ, COPQ, nomenclature, training (SAP, NCM, office applications), reportsAnalyze data, develop & monitor KPIsEstablish targetsNCM Table AdministratorProvide training to groups & individualsLiaison with other RegionsEnsure customer satisfaction with actions implementedAssist with access to the NCM System and BWAddress & improve Global issuesCoordinate improvement efforts with External Service Providers
Assess timeliness and effectiveness of Investigations & Corrective ActionsPromote risk-based analysis using quality metrics in the region where necessary to improve overall product manufacturing, customer service, and customer requirements & expectations.Participate in ISO:9001 efforts in nonconformance management and audit programs.Coordinate best practices between sites and functions within the RBU and globally.Communicate with contacts throughout the RBU (Operations Director, Operations Managers, Plant Managers, Procurement, Sales, R&D) related to product quality and internal and external nonconformances ensuring customer satisfaction and supplier performance.Lean Six-Sigma knowledge or certification, a plus.
Understanding of statistical processes, quality control principals, Root Cause Analysis, good working knowledge of chemistry and processes with a strong proficiency in basic statistical and experimental techniques.
Solid working knowledge of the manufacturing processes and quality control and laboratories.
Well versed in ISO 9001 requirements, nonconformance management, and Corrective action.
