The North America Field Testing and Operations team (NAFTO) of Monsanto leverages motivated team members and cutting-edge technology working in an environment of constant innovation to deliver the data that makes these integrated solutions a reality. As an intern in the NAFTO organization you will be integrated into one of our field teams and expected to help design, execute, and ultimately present on a research project which will enhance our ability to offer innovative products to the marketplace. As a part of the internship, you will be exposed to the same proprietary technology that our teams use every day, have opportunities to work with our innovative scientists and plant breeders, and gain insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of our team members and the dynamic culture of Monsanto. Daily activities may include:Working independently or with members of your team on project specific activities Assisting your team in executing their seasonal work prioritiesAttending personal development opportunities on or off-site including visits to St Louis and other sites in and outside of NAFTO near your locationBeing involved in Community Engagement projects and team building eventsOperation of field and lab research equipment, including Monsanto proprietary technologyData collection, entry and analysisDates for this internship are May 13-August 2 of 2019. Locations include Huxley, Iowa, Lubbock, TX, Gothenburg, NE and Waterman, IL.Qualifications: Qualifications: Detail and results-orientation with the ability to work independently Strong motivational, organization and problem-solving skillsOutstanding communication skillsAbility to work effectively with interdisciplinary teamsRequirements:Current enrollment in BS program in agronomy, genetics, plant breeding, or other agriculturally related field of studySophomore standing or higher (but not yet graduated) Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 Ability to relocate for the summer if necessary Personal transportationMust be returning to school upon completion of internship to continue program of studyApply for this job.
