North America Global Trade Specialist – #01SBY

Bayer???s North America Trade and Compliance organization is looking for a North America Global Trade Specialist to manage the day to day interaction and coordination of the export of seed and non-seed (chemical, specialized, research) items exiting the US through arrival in destination country. This role critical to delivering the business through ensuring Import and Export Operations are accurate and efficient. This position will be located in Oxnard, CA, reporting to our NA Global Trade Lead. Key Responsibilities:With minimal supervision, perform Import/Export documentation activities and functions in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Demonstrate the ability to adjust to variable tasks in order to meet efficiency standards, and report any non-compliant issues to the T&C Lead or the T&C ManagerEnsure all export Phytosanitary Certificates are maintained and organized for retrievalPrepare documents/legalizations and accompanying correspondence based on the received orders and order documentsPrepare transport orders and make arrangements concerning capacity and loading/unloading timesInvoice customers, both domestic and internationalValidate all documents required for shipping internationally to assigned destinationsEnsure that all product flow meets international trade compliance requirements and that document controls are in place to support full trade complianceDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures associated with Trade ComplianceProvide reporting and analytical support for other trade team initiatives, as necessaryEnsure importing / exporting country (customer / company site) requirements can be met in a compliant and expedient mannerHandle complex regions global trade accountsWorking knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA and other government agency laws and regulationsQualifications:Required Skills/Experience: Bachelor???s degree with 3+ years??? experience OR equivalent work experience (7+ years) in Business, Logistics, Manufacturing, International Commerce in Import, Export, Trade & Compliance, or LogisticsAbility to work effectively in a global, team-based and matrix environmentAbility to read and write English with strong verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis in excel and word ???Experience working in SAP or another Global Trade systemMust have the flexibility to work overtime when necessary Desired Skills/Experience:Strong project management and excellent analytical skillsExperience working in Amber Road???s Trade Automation platformExperience with agricultural and/or chemical products Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
