North America Production Technical Lead, Brassica Crops for St. Louis, MO to provide technical support for brassica seed production from pre-sowing to post-harvest; review & analyze usable seed quantities produced against targeted production plan; lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure seed health, genetic integrity & production reliability; train growers & field reps on production techniques; research innovative production technologies; propose production research trials based on root cause analysis of quality & quantity deviations; propose & support organizational changes. Qualifications:Requires Bachelor's in Agronomy or closely-related field and 10 yrs progressive post-Bachelor's experience planning brassica crop production, including selecting varieties & managing sowing & harvesting activities; coordinating crop field trials with teams based internationally; managing production budgets for crops, including negotiating prices with growers, managing purchasing activities, and forecasting P&L; proposing brassica field trials based on root cause analysis of quality & quantity deviations; conducting field trials & research on creation of new brassica varieties; using brassica pruning production techniques & training growers & field reps on the same; and using SAP to manage brassica varieties, prices & contracts with growers.
