Ocean Export Logistics Assistant

responsible to support a customer base of domestic based
container shippers; arrange drayage, track shipments, supply accurate documentation and
communicate with steamship lines/truckers/ customers/warehouses, etc. The MAl
NVOCC will produce accurate shipping documentation, oversee all aspects of the
container shipment (from assisting shippers with bookings to the containers arrival at
port), discharge/provide clearance at the overseas port and ensure arrival of the containers
at the consignee's designated location.
Respond to any and all customer inquiries
Accurately complete all documentation
Ensure shipment arrives at port and is delivered per customer direction
Support co-workers with customer needs
? Minimum Requirements
2 years post graduate education or equivalent work experience.
2 years experience with letters of credit and/or international documentation
Demonstrated customer service orientation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines while displaying attention to detail
Organize and prioritize multiple tasks
Accurately complete repetitive tasks
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Ability to show individual initiative and support team efforts as needed?
? Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of foreign countries' documentation requirements is a plus
Knowledge and experience with Oracle, AS400, Excel and Word is a plus
