Position Summary:We are seeking a motivated full time employee for our cottonseed processing office in Richmond, TX.
The clerk position will work with other clerks and management in the office to provide customer service, logistics support, general accounting and general office support functions for Richmond, TX facility.
Responsible for balancing inbound and outbound shipments to verify inventoriesSupport corporate and regional accounting staff with information and data requirementsProvide courteous customer support for any inquiry or settlement issueAssist in payroll data entryProvide general office support and back up support for vacations, illnesses, etc. as directed by managementManage inventory reportsManage plant logistics reportsReach out to customers to resolve vendor issues with unclear ticketsRequest new vendors and process vendor paymentsResponsible for organizing and filing of records, and records management programSpecial Projects as directed by managementAssist merchandisers with contract and systems questions Job Requirements:
A strong spirit of teamwork and cooperation and a proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels inside and outside of the organizationAble to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, vendors and protect confidential informationMust be willing and able to work overtime during the busy seasons of the yearMust have previous experience operating multi-line phone system and general office equipment and competency in Microsoft OfficeMust maintain a professional presence and demonstrate strong customer service skills Experience with Agris or JDE accounting software helpful but not necessary Strong organization, multi-tasking, and planning skills requiredWillingness to take initiative and demonstrate reliability Independent decision making and problem solving skills with the ability to develop solutions in a logical and systematic wayAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlines Physical requirements: Extended periods of sitting, walking, bending, twisting, carrying light loads, keyboarding
