We are seeking a professional like you to support the Production Execution Manager in the day to day operation of the Dicamba Unit and associated operations, providing technical assistance in executing the required production plan. This role will own Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s), Process Safety Information, process material physical property data, lead troubleshooting efforts, and interact with Operations, Maintenance, and other operational support personnel. You will generate and manage MOC?s for your area of responsibility.
Additionally, you will support the Capital Planning and Project Execution of existing and future Capital projects as Manufacturing Representative. You will be instrumental in leading troubleshooting efforts when problems arise and will be a solution provider. You will also hold responsibility for resolving Quality non-conformances generated in your area.
This position requires strong leadership in safety and Behavioral Based Safety processes which support the BASF Journey to EHS Excellence. On-call responsibility is required for response to any after hour event that impacts production or EHS. Utilizingyour education in Engineering, you will provide guidance and input to theachievement and development of plant goals, objectives, and operationalbudgets. You will additionallycontribute to the achievement of production goals while meeting establishedstandards of Safety, Environmental Protection, Efficiency, Quality, and Cost. ? UsingLean / Six Sigma tools, you will deliver process improvements in quality,productivity, cost and environmental compliance while also demonstrating strongleadership in safe plant operation and adherence to BASF Occupational andProcess Safety rules and policies. ? Leveragingyour previous experience in a chemical/refining or similar manufacturingenvironment, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting expertiseto the Daily Operational Team for plant problems that occur and will closelymonitor the process conditions and provide technical support and feedback tothe Operations team. ? Yourunderstanding of engineering principles and their practical application in a plantenvironment will aid your role in driving standardization across shifts andoptimization of operating costs; partner with other site/area functions forstandardization and best practice sharing across the site.? Leveragingyour strong communication skills across all levels, you will work closely withother support groups like Maintenance to ensure that proper priorities areplaced on items in the Maintenance backlog and will interface with suppliers,customers, and vendors as needed to maintain plant operation.? Yourdemonstrated experience with continuous improvement and change managementinitiatives will drive your leadership in root cause failure analysis for EHS,quality, and production incidents.? Utilizingyour basic familiarity with process equipment operation including reactors,distillation columns, boilers, solids handling equipment, pumps, controlvalves, etc., you will ensure safe and reliable plant operation.? Yourunderstanding of manufacturing operations and equipment will drive the optimizationof scheduled and unscheduled downtime and (Asset Effectiveness and AE tools) will allow you to assist the departmentin the coordination, planning, and execution of shutdown or turnaround workincluding maintenance and capital activities.
