Greenville,OH Wherethe Chemistry Happens Weare seeking a professional like you to be responsible for supporting theday-to-day operation of the respective plant the position supports.  Inthis role, you will provide the technical support needed to execute therequired production plan.  You will also demonstrate strong leadership inthe area of safe plant operation and adherence to BASF Process Safety rules andpolicies.     Youwill play an important role in driving standardization across shifts, optimizeproducts cycle time and work closely with other support groups like Maintenanceto ensure proper priorities are placed.  Additionally, you will leadtroubleshooting efforts and provide solutions when problems arise.Formula for SuccessLeveragingyour education in Engineering or Chemistry and your experience in chemicalproduction or maintenance, you will provide guidance andinput to the achievement and development of plant goals, objectives andoperational budgets.Yourexcellent computer skills, ABB and Triconex automation knowledge, andfamiliarity with EHS procedures/standards will be a valued asset as you generate & complete MOC's and revalidate temporary MOC's to confirmtheir validity.Relyingon your familiarity with instrumentation (lab and field) and your solidproblem-solving skills, you will provide technicalsupport and troubleshooting expertise to the daily Operational Team for plantproblems that arise.Working as a team player, you can expect to beon-call and respond to any after hour event that impacts production or EHS.Demonstratingyour experience in root cause failure analysis, you will provide technical input andleadership support in root cause failure analysis for production, EHS, andquality incidents.Utilizing your strong understanding of ProcessSafety Concepts and their applications, you will lead PHAs (Process HazardsAnalysis) and assigned  process safetyimprovement activities.Yourknowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles will serve you well as you identify Lean opportunities and support implementation of these Leanprojects.Yourexcellent communication skills and interpersonal understanding will be essential as you assist and support the Production Supervisorwith scheduling to ensure adequate shift coverage is maintained.  You will also partner with the ProductionSupervisor to maintain safe operation and reliability of the plant.Yourproject management experience and previous participation in a debottleneckingproject will serve you well as you lead projects todebottleneck equipment.CreateYour Own Chemistry: What We Offer You Adding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
