Wyandotte, MI Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to be responsible forleading the operations team in the manufacture of Dispersions and Resins (EDN)products to meet customer requirements. In this role, you will ensure thesafe, environmentally sound, efficient, and effective operations of theplant. Team management and development includes production andlogistics coordination, resource planning, and scheduling. You will be a key interface in collaboratingwith colleagues in the Commercial, Technology, EHS, Quality, Engineering,Maintenance, R&D, and Controlling organizations. You will have shared responsibility for allOperational Excellence (OpEx) metrics, including $50M+ fixed cost budget. Lean and Six Sigma green belt certification is required for thisrole. If you do not have these certification credentials, you willbe required to obtain yellow belt certification within six months, followed bytimely certification of green belt.Formula for SuccessUtilizing your well-developed communication and team facilitationskills, you will provide direct and indirect leadership and management of theplant Operations personnel in the areas of coaching, disciplinary issuemanagement, operational communication, performance management and development.Using your demonstrated leadership and management capabilitieswill be essential as you develop and communicate clear goals for the ShiftSupervision. Your high level of comfort interacting with all levels of theorganization and your ability to apply statistical process control andproblem-solving techniques will serve you well as you successfully collaboratewith all other Site and Business functions for new product introduction andoptimization, daily problem solving, and ensuring customer quality, regulatory,and stakeholder requirements are met in a complex and demanding set ofbusinesses with multiple commercial stakeholders and many customers.Leveraging your education in a technical area (Engineering,Science, or a related field preferred) and your practical applicationexperience in a manufacturing/business environment, you will beaccountable to lead the team in creating OpEx EBIT Contributions includingvariable cost, fixed cost, and output/capacity increases via moreefficient/effective operations.
