Come grow with us!?General Purpose and Scope of Position: Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to manage the interaction of support groups within the Regional Branch including warehouse, production plants (fertilizer, manufacturing), dispatch, and purchasing.? It is the responsibility of the Operations Manager to ensure each group operates efficiently to achieve their goals and interacts effectively with the other operation groups within the facility.? Reports include plant personnel, warehouse, purchasing, and dispatch managers. Critical to the position is the ability to champion, implement and utilize change.?Key Skills and Abilities Include:Minimum of five years? experience in distribution with demonstrated track record in managementWorking knowledge of DOT rules and regulationsAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionProficient in all Microsoft office applications and in particular ExcelGood interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with branch personnel, peers and customers?Key Personal Attributes Include:Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to lead and influenceDetail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Understands, practices, and maintains confidentialityMinimum five years? experience in distribution with demonstrated track record in managementBachelor?s degree or comparable combination of education and work experience?Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables include:Manage operations to achieve Wilbur-Ellis Company goals at the branch in regards to safety, purchasing, inventory management and support servicesDevelop, build and maintain relationships with support resources to ensure compliance with Wilbur-Ellis safety, regulatory, human resources, and other policies and proceduresCoach, develop and mentor staff through effective use of continuous feedback and open communication.Maintain proper staffing levels for office and operations personnel. Recruit and hire new employees as required in accordance with Wilbur-Ellis recruiting policies and procedures.Partner with Branch Manager to drive corporate strategies, initiatives, objectives, and action plansOversee safety and regulatory requirements of the company and the DOTOversee all aspects of facility operations and supportProvide daily direction to support group mangersProvide support to other team members as required to attain branch goalsDevelop annual operating budget and manage to planSet department goals and objectives that are aligned with division strategic planAs part of an overall performance management plan, conduct annual performance reviews with direct reportsEnsure that all direct reports are properly trained in their necessary duties and suggest training to improve required job skillsIn partnership with Human Resources, address poor performance with progressive discipline and use of performance improvement plansPromote positive work environment and overall employee moralePresent a professional image through personal appearance and overall facility cleanlinessAttend HR and EHS training sessions and meetings when necessaryComply with all Wilbur-Ellis EHS, HR policies and procedures as well as Federal, State and local safety and regulatory proceduresOther duties as required and assigned?Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive annual salary (determined based on experience and other factors)Comprehensive employee health and retirement benefit offerings?COMPANY CULTURE ?Wilbur-Ellis is a company you can be proud to call your employerWilbur-Ellis markets and distributes agricultural products, animal feed and specialty chemicals and food ingredients.
