Operations Technician IV

JOB ID 1307Landus Cooperative is seeking an individual to be responsible for outside operations functions to benefit the customers of Landus Cooperative while maintaining clean and safe facilities. This position will direct the job duties in the absence of the superintendent.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. ?Greet all customers promptly and courteouslyAssist in all aspects of the elevator operations ???? 1.?? ?Receiving and unloading grain operations??? 2.?? ?Grain drying operations??? 3.?? ?Measuring grain inventory on a weekly/monthly basis??? 4.?? ?Grain train loading operations including cleaning and sealing cars??? 5.?? ?Keeping facility clean, safe and housekeeping records current??? 6.?? ?Responsible for grain condition and inventory control by testing temperatures, blending, and storage areas.??? 7.?? ?Able to operate train locomotive??? 8.?? ?Identify potential maintenance problems and complete necessary repairs??? 9.?? ?Daily supervision of elevator crew in the absence of a superintendentAssist in all aspects of the fertilizer and chemical operations??? 1.?? ?Measure inventory and report it to the supervisor??? 2.?? ?Assist in unloading bulk and packaged product??? 3.?? ?Dispatch applicators??? 4.?? ?Provide customer service by and loading chemical product orders??? 5.?? ?Maintain and repair equipment as needed??? 6.?? ?Keeping facility clean, safe and housekeeping records current??? 7.?? ?Pumping bulk chemicals into customer tanks??? 8.?? ?Tender to applicators??? 9.?? ?Fill NH3 nurse tanks during season?? 10.?? ?Operate application equipment when necessary?? 11.?? ?Understand basic agronomy chemistry of all products?? 12.?? ?Responsible for scheduling and assigning daily workload in the absence of a superintendentBe willing to perform these duties at other Landus Cooperative locations as needed.Perform equipment and facility maintenance.Champion of safety compliance throughout organization.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:? Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and seven years or more related experience and/or training. ?CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Class A CDL with required endorsements or able to obtain one and maintain current DOT physical.? Commercial pesticide applicators license with 1A, 1B, 1C endorsements or able to obtain one.This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job.? The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in our motor vehicle safety policy.
