?? ??? ????JOB ID1302Landus Cooperative is seeking an individual to be responsible for outside operations functions to benefit the customers while maintaining clean and safe facilities. This position will direct the job duties in the absence of the superintendent.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following*Greet all customers promptly and courteously*Assist in all aspects of the elevator operations?Receiving and unloading grain operationsGrain drying operationsMeasuring grain inventory on a weekly/monthly basisGrain train loading operations including cleaning and sealing carsKeeping facility clean, safe and housekeeping records currentResponsible for grain condition and inventory control by testing temperatures, blending, and storage areas.Able to operate train locomotiveIdentify potential maintenance problems and complete necessary repairsDaily supervision of elevator crew in the absence of a superintendent*Assist in all aspects of the fertilizer and chemical operationsMeasure inventory and report it to the supervisorAssist in unloading bulk and packaged productDispatch applicators?Provide customer service by and loading chemical product ordersMaintain and repair equipment as neededKeeping facility clean, safe and housekeeping records currentPumping bulk chemicals into customer tanksTender to applicatorsFill NH3 nurse tanks during seasonOperate application equipment when necessaryUnderstand basic agronomy chemistry of all productsResponsible for scheduling and assigning daily workload in the absence of a superintendent*Be willing to perform these duties at other Landus Cooperative locations as needed.*Perform equipment and facility maintenance.*Champion of safety compliance throughout organization.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:?Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and seven years or more related experience and/or training. ?LANGUAGE SKILLS:?Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.? Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.? Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:?Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.? Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY:? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.? Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.?CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Class A CDL with required endorsements or able to obtain one and maintain current DOT physical.? Commercial pesticide applicators license with 1A, 1B, 1C endorsements or able to obtain one. This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job.? The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in our motor vehicle safety policy.
