The Dispersions & Pigments (ED) business unit has an opportunity at its Monaca, PA manufacturing site. This incumbent will become part of a team of operators who are responsible for meeting daily production requirements to support customer needs. The incumbent is expected to work safely, following both verbal and written work instructions and procedures.Responsibility and accountability includes, but is not limited to:? The storage, transfer, filtration and sampling of dispersion products in storage vessels.? Following operating procedures, site standards and policies etc. to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site? Conducting routine inspections and monitoring of equipment (e.g. pumps, storage tanks, instrumentation, utilities, safety equipment, tools etc.) in the filter rooms and finished product storage areas.? Preparing equipment for operation, maintenance, cleaning etc.? Daily housekeeping.? Ability to work rotating shifts.Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You?Basic Qualifications: ? High school diploma or GED.? 3 years of experience in an industrial and or chemical plant or have successfully completed an approved Chemical Technician training program.Preferred Qualifications: ? A working knowledge of the mechanics and operation of different types of process equipment (e.g. pumps, valves, agitators, instrumentation and controls etc.) is preferred.? Familiarity with safety practices and techniques relating to the chemical industry (e.g. LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work).? Good written and oral communication skills.? Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.? A working knowledge of computers? The job is a shift position (8 hour rotating shifts) and requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors in all conditions and the use of stairways/ladders to perform tasks. Physical strength is required to operate manual process equipment.? Willingness and ability to work additional hours.? Position frequently lifts 21-50 lbs. and on occasion would need the ability to lift 50+ lbs.?
