Operator III (Whse)This is an Hourly position:
Work to be performedLoads sacked feed or products from warehouse storage or from production lines to customer vehicles and company vehicles as directed. Must have knowledge of products and codes, warehouse layout, forklift operation, pallet jack, and quality storage and packing procedures. Must have knowledge of production line. Will be backup and run packaging line. Good housekeeping is to be maintained at all times. Work Duties and Required SkillsPromotes the ADM Way and Core ValuesMove sacked feed and feed products from warehouse storage or from production lines to customer vehicles and company vehicles as directed. Assures accurate count of bags of feed or products in all loading tasks. Uses hand truck or forklift, pallet jack for movement of products as necessary. Practice good customer service procedures as required by company customer service guidelines. Remember that Customer Service is a top priority at ADM Animal Nutrition.Customer Service Guidelines includes being prompt and courteous, loading customer?s trucks according to ADM ANI procedures within a reasonable amount of time with minimum customer delays.Work as a team player in the quality process. Notify Plant Manager, Asst. Plant Manager, or Lead Person as necessary, if any out-of-spec quality conditions exist. Assure product is properly sealed, in proper packages, and is coded and tagged correctly.
Must have adequate quality training.Ability to operate a fork truck proficiently and in a safe manner.Housekeeping in the warehouse is to be performed according to the ADM Animal Nutrition, Springfield Plant Housekeeping plan. Other housekeeping duties are to be completed as assigned.Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment at all times (i.e. fork truck, etc) in a manner so not to harm yourself, your fellow employees, and the equipment. Follow all established plant safety rules.Work overtime as required and scheduled.Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Asst. Plant Manager, or Lead Person.Fill out necessary paperwork properly, including but not limited to, Order loading forms and customer invoices.Provide training as necessary to train new employees and lesser skilled employees when opportunities arise for them to learn and assume the stacker / loader position.Must be able to easily lift all materials, as the job requires. Lifting ability must be at least 55 pounds from the floor to a minimum height of 50 inches. Must be able to climb ladders.Follow all plant rules of conduct at all times Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
