Operator III (2nd shift/packing)This is an Hourly position:
Work to be performedOperate sacking equipment, with proper packaging, feeds from supply bins per ADM Animal Nutrition specified feed formulations and packaging rates. This includes but not limited to the operation of delivery equipment, scales, bag hangers, and scales, sewing heads, various conveyors and other packaging equipment. Good housekeeping is to be maintained at all times. Work Duties and Required Skills1.Promotes the ADM Way and Core Values2.Follow the Production Lineup to package and properly sequence all feeds in accordance with ADM Animal Nutrition Product Specifications and established quality guidelines as stated in the ADM Quality MPC?s and SOP?s.
Requires the ability to follow ADM Food Safety Plan and Animal Nutrition Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP?s)including, but not limited to,packaging rates and clean-out procedures3.Practice good customer service procedures as required by ADM Alliance customer service guidelines.4.Work as a team player in quality process.
Notify Plant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead person as necessary, if any out-of-spec quality conditions exist. This includes checking bag weights, proper clean-out, sequencing, labeling and other quality concerns before, during and after a packaging run. Must have adequate quality training. 5.Lift 55 pound bags from the floor to height of 36?, ability to withstand heights, climb a ladder, ride the caged and belt man lifts. 6.Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment at all times (i.e. packaging equipment, etc.) in a manner not to harm yourself, your fellow employees, and the equipment. Follow all established Plant Work and Safety Rules all times. 7.Work overtime as required and instructed per Management. 8.Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead Person. 9.Work in the most effective, efficient manner at all times. Properly package all runs in less or equal to the targeted hours on the production lineup with minimal manageable lost time. 10.Follow all plant rules of conduct at all times. 11.Fill out necessary paperwork properly, including, but not limited to, job tickets, packaging recaps, and lost time reports. 12.Ability to withstand heights.
Must be able to ride the caged and belt man lift safely and climb ladders. 13.Maintain housekeeping to standards around both packing lines, both robots, assist in making sure that the rows of feed are being rotated and swept, dust off ledges, and cob webs removed from walls and structures in packing areas. 14.Provide training to new employees and lesser skilled employees when the opportunities arise Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
