Operator? Kalamazoo, MI This is an hourly level position. Job Summary: The Operator position blends, filters, dumps, de-waters, and draws products within the plant to ensure the most effective and efficient means are utilized to meet production requirements.Essential Job Functions:
Blend, filter, dump, de-water, and draw products to produce flavor components Read production schedules, pick lists, work orders, or material requisitions to determine items to be blended, filtered, dumped, etc. Drive forklift to transport items to and from specified staging and production areasRecord all necessary information of material usage within the facility using both Adage and any other forms of documentation required by ADMUse Adage via the computer or scanner to enter, track and maintain inventory transactions as they relate to inventory movementMaintain inventory control integrity by both physically and electronically moving product throughout the facility simultaneously Adhere to labeling, weight and packaging requirementsMaintain and follow all GMPs and operational procedures, including master sanitation, to ensure the safety of co-workers and product integrityFollow ISO proceduresComply with the food safety management systemParticipate, as required, to ensure food safety and ISO/Food Safety certificationPerform other duties and assignments, as requiredJob Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or combination of education and experienceExperience in food, chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing a plusForklift experienceBasic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) Basic math skillsAbility to follow instructions/directions with moderate supervisionAbility to multitaskStrong communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively as a member of team Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement Working Conditions: Employees in this position working at this location are [or may be] exposed to various potential chemical and food allergens due to the nature of our business and the requirements of the job.
