Optimization Lead ? Trade and Procurement
Position Purpose & Summary
This position is responsible for the ongoing optimization and continuous improvement in the Trade and Procurement area within Cargill Cocoa and Chocolate, much of which is enabled by the SAP solution.? The primary focus is on leading value realization projects and process improvements, which involves process, people/behaviors, roles/responsibilities, culture, strategy, and systems/data in the Trade and Procurement area.? This is done through collaboration within CCC, with our value chain partner businesses, and with Global IT, through leveraging best practices with other businesses, and through bringing the outside in.
45% Optimization/Continuous Improvement
Identify, lead, and drive optimization/continuous improvement activities, especially in the Trade and Procurement area, to drive value and process consistency, collaborating with subject matter experts and leadership across the business.?
Continuous improvement activities will be defined and prioritized on an ongoing basis.?
As many BPO team projects are cross-functional and based on business impact, it?s expected to work on efforts outside of immediate area as needed.
Lead ongoing enhancements, upgrades, and deployment activities,? system integration from potential M&A activity, and organic growth projects.? Ensure functionality is appropriately tested and trained.?25% Organizational Readiness
Ensure organizational readiness and commitment to ongoing optimization, value realization activities, and enhancements.
After super-users, next point of escalation for assistance related to overall SAP functionality in the Trade and Procurement space.
Communicate frequently with leadership to inform on project status, align on resource needs, and prioritize projects?20% Market Data Sheet Maintainer
SAP Data Preparation
Provide master data that includes: material, plant, BOM explosion, standard costs, and unit of measure.
Trade Price Compilation
Update market prices for cocoa bean, cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, cocoa powder, sugar, milk, and oil.???????
Total Cost Analysis
Calculate intermediate material costs including CPE prices and non-mark to market costs.
Review standard costs figures for freight, packaging, and production.?5% Metrics
Implement, maintain, and communicate metrics to track value captured through optimization initiatives and to ensure the sustainment and performance of the Trade and Procurement process areas. Drive continuous improvement and creation/execution of action plans where metrics indicate need.?5% Other responsibilities as identifiedSkills:
4-year degree in Business, IT, or Engineering
5+ years of business experience and/or IT
Previous experience working in the Trade and Procurement space
Demonstrated experience leading project work and change management initiatives
Experience with SAP and/or BI (Business Intelligence)?reporting
Understanding of commodity markets
Strong analytical skills; capable of breaking down complex issues and identifying key drivers; can identify cross process upstream and downstream impacts
Proven ability to collaborate, lead, coach, facilitate, and communicate with individuals across a broad range of education, experience, and functional spectrums
Intermediate Excel Skills
Lean Six Sigma certified
7+ years business analysis and analytics
Experience working in a Cargill SAP instance
Demonstrated experience leading project work in large scale projects
