Packaging and Warehouse Worker (3rd shift)
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Energy division with the Sunflower group. We are looking for a Packaging and Warehouse Worker to assist in the daily operations of the plant including warehousing, packaging, loading, sanitation and inventory control.
You must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, responsible and work well in a team setting with a high level of accuracy. You will:Promptly load customer orders on trucks, vans, containers and railcars. Ensure orders are accurately loaded in clean vehicles. Notify the Supervisor of quantity changes.Maintain all food products in accordance with food safety requirements.Operate forklift or other Powered Industrial Truck according to company policy.Maintain an accurate physical count and properly inventory off-loaded ingredients, empty packaging material and supplies. Accurately complete inbound tickets.Ensure empty bags and pallets are positioned near bagging lines at all times. Make sure that the bagging lines? production is removed on a timely basis and is properly stacked.Assist Supervisor in daily inventory tasks.Ensure the assigned sanitation schedule is thoroughly completed in a timely manner. Maintain a neat and orderly warehouse.Assist Supervisor in training of new packaging personnel.Observe all safety and work rules and practice GMP?s as set by company policy.Record all daily production neatly and accurately on the production sheets.Maintain consistent communication with other employees in order to ensure efficient production.Perform other jobs assigned by Supervisor, Production Manager and Plant Superintendent.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)High school diploma or equivalent 1 plus years of packaging or relevant experience necessary.Preferred Qualifications: (desired)Understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMP) to achieve food safety requirements.
