Packing and Loading Supervisor
OverviewSupervise a medium to large group of employees involved in plant production operations. Work is generally of a technical nature with the ability to make decisions within the limits of general standards and practices. Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Essential FunctionsSupervise personnel with safety as the number one priorityResponsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipmentMeets production cost schedule and maintains quality requirementsComplies with the terms of local labor agreementsImplements divisional and corporate policiesImplements safety and good housekeeping standardsFrequent contact with others outside the work groupMonitor and approve payroll time and attendanceKeeps management informed of developments as they occurMaintains department recordsMaintains corporate and unit management control systemsLearn and maintain a good working knowledge of plant processResponsible for hourly employee safety training and implementation of departmental site safety planRecord production into SAPMaintain inventory and order operational suppliesOther duties as assignedBachelor's degree preferredPrior manufacturing supervisory experience preferredKnowledge of manufacturing processes and proceduresStrong verbal and written communications skillsUnderstanding of basic plant technology, mathematical aptitude and knowledge of quality control proceduresKnowledge of scheduling and other management systemsDemonstrated analytical ability with strong problem solving skillsExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others and achieve productivity target through motivating employeesBasic computer skills including SAP, Word, Excel, and Power PointRequires the ability to sit, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50lbs on a daily basisWork Schedule:Flexible schedule, some nights and weekends requiredApply for this job.
