SUMMARYThe Production Lift Truck Operator is a member of a team which includes Packaging Area Coordinators, Warehouse Lift Truck Operators, Cold Room Operators, Packaging Machine Attendants, Vestibule Helpers, Frozen Inspectors, and General Laborers. The Production Lift Truck Operator reports to the Packaging Area Supervisor, Shift Manager.The individual in this position is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting and supplying rework and bulk product to the packaging lines, for removing and transporting finished product pallets and totes from packaging areas to their appropriate storage locations, for supplying the appropriate materials to a variety of areas, and for housekeeping duties as needed.The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the packaging area. This position requires the Operator to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates.
The Material Handler I is responsible for loading dried distillers grains, ethanol, corn oil, wet cake feed, distiller’s syrup, or biomass into trucks and rail cars. Team members in this position use mechanical equipment, meters or scales as well as computers and software equipment when loading products to ensure a timely delivery and product safety. Based on training provided, the Material Handler I may also complete the grading of grain products or biomass.
