Parent Seed Supply Chain Planner
DescriptionCorteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has an exciting opportunity for a Parent Planner to join our supply chain team at our Johnston, IA corporate seeds headquarters campus. The primary responsibility of the Parent Planner is to support developing an executable volume and acreage plan, as well as ensure proper implementation and control of this plan. In this role, you will serve as the connection between parent corn planning and execution activities, including parent sourcing and delivery monitoring. This yields the opportunity to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups and make a profound business impact. This role will manage parent corn planning and execution activities, including, but not limited to, the following:Assist developing Volume Plan and Acreage plan for Parent Corn Locations, specifically focusing on NAS.Coordinate seed movement for segmented supply chain, and manage information flow between parent and commercial locations. Implement supply chain management techniques to proactively monitor conditioning, treating, and delivery progress.Lead/serve as key contributor to Parent Control Towers, Rough Cut Capacity Reviews, and Parent Playbook meetings.Monitor order fulfillment metrics and generate dashboards to ensure the Parent team is successfully meeting SPSC Goals. Collaborate with cross regional planning to insure plan feasibility. Provide support for sourcing parent seed to commercial and parent seed locations worldwide.Understand quality specifications, both internal and market specific, to facilitate sourcing the appropriate seed for a given need.QualificationsThe following are required:Bachelors Degree in Ag Business, Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field2+ years of Supply Chain or related experience Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access applicationsAbility to apply Supply Chain acumen – knowledge of supply chain management techniques including Rough Cut Capacity PlanningExcellent written and spoken communication skills Organization, time management, and communication skills that allow for working in a fast-paced environment Teamwork skills with ability to work and interact with people from diverse backgroundsExemplify Corteva values and contribute positive to team cultureProven ability to lead process improvement and change management through influenceProactive and willing to learn and take on extra responsibilityThe following are preferred:Knowledge of agriculture and seed production Working knowledge of inventory systems, such as SAP R/3Six Sigma and/or LEAN certificationAbility to organize data, perform analysis, and develop dashboards to inform and effectively communicate insights to stakeholdersAbility to provide training for proper use of computer systemsAPICS CertifiedApply for this job.
