?Job Overview:Responsible for supporting the company?s integrated feed management platform that delivers high quality feed resources to our animals.?? Provide animals with the appropriate feed resources based on nutritional requirements and operational efficiency.??? Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing value added services to external and internal customers, including attitude knowledge, technical support and quality of service in a timely manner.? Contribute to the development of the company?s integrated feed management platform and collaborate with and closely align with other divisions to consistently deliver best-in-class quality production resources and services to our customers. Provide support to other feed order associates to ensure service to customers goes uninterrupted.Typical Duties of a Feed Order Associate include:Operational Management and ExecutionEstablish feed budgets for wean to market and feeder to market lots based on the company?s nutrition program with an emphasis on feed milling and transportation efficiencies.Setup appropriate feed type assignments or budgets for the company?s breed to wean sites.? This would include periodic review of feed type assignments to ensure proper deliveries of feed to the site locations.Validate all incoming feed orders for compliance with nutritional standards, company protocols and animal health requirements.Monitor the progress of feed orders to ensure timely delivery.Monitor the Lot Split process and adjust budgets according to actual pig movements.Monitor the company?s pig shipment schedules to implement appropriate feed additive strategy.Monitor end of Lot feed deliveries to minimize the quantities of feed remaining at locations at the end of the feeding period.Schedule the recovery and delivery of remaining feed when necessary according to company protocols.Validate as necessary completed feed orders with a keen awareness on accuracy and timeliness of the delivery.Customer ServiceProvide front line service to our customer base to meet immediate and longer term needs.Record instances where customer expectations were not met by the division in the Company?s CRM software and monitor progress on solving and closing open items.Establish and maintain close working relationships with our feed milling partners ? both internal and external.Team LeadershipDevelop working relationships and cross training opportunities with other Feed Order Associates to ensure seamless operations of the department during times when human resource availability is limited.Collaborate with other divisions to seek ways to increase effectiveness and profitability of the company?s nutrition and feed management program.Work closely with fellow associates to support their customer portfolio to ensure continuous serviceFiduciary ResponsibilityMonitor monthly closeout data to identify feed mills that are not meeting predetermined company metrics goals.Monitor key reports to ensure proper utilization of feed additives and report out to Management suggested changes.Monitor ingredient pricing as submitted by toll millers and highlight changes to Management.System DevelopmentLearn the integration of the company?s feed management platform.? In particular, understand the electronic exchange of information between systems and be able to trouble shoot issues pertinent to toll milling partners, Production Partners, and other stakeholders.Participate in the testing of upgrades to the feed ordering platform.Critically review the feed management platform and routinely offer improvements that would increase functionality for Production Partners, toll milling partners, Feed Operations, and other divisions of the company.?Minimum QualificationsMinimum of an Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree is preferred or a minimum of 5 years work related experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in feed operations, customer service or other agricultural business.?Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1)Knowledge of:Livestock production practices.Basic feed manufacturing and delivery.?2)?Skill in?? ?Excellent written and verbal communications.MS Office Software.Organizational skills.Attention to detail.Customer Service?3)Ability to:Work independently as well as being part of a team effort.Communicate effectively through strong oral and written communications.Maintain complete and accurate records.Develop positive working relationships with Production Partners, toll milling partners, and ingredient suppliers.Think strategically about feed operations issues.?The Maschhoffs offers competitive wages and an exceptional benefits package.?????Apply for this job.
