Part time intern: core packaging mechanical systems

Responsibilities may include:The successful candidate will work closely with engineers responsible for the design, validation, and implementation of cooling systems on Caterpillar generator sets in various applications. In this role you will advance your modeling skills in Creo, create and detail component prints, and identify validation requirements while helping the team develop a successful cooling system. Additionally, the successful candidate is likely to be involved in field failure investigation, shop issue resolution, and general maintained items. Basic Qualifications:Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or Agricultural EngineeringApplicant must attend 4-year university within driving distance of the Lafayette, In facilityGraduation date of May 2021 and beyondApplicant must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week while school is in session and 40 hours per week while school is not in sessionGPA requirements: 3.0 minimum Top Candidates will also have:Exhibit leadership skills in school or extracurricular activitiesMotivation to expand engineering knowledge outside of courseworkKnowledge of Caterpillar or Caterpillar productsPrevious engineering internshipsApply for this job.
