Part Time Lab Technician II
SUMMARY: Responsibilities will include performing a number of analytical, microbiological or quality system procedures or work instructions in a Food Safety Laboratory. Precision and accuracy in performance of the work instructions and data collection is essential; must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be passed and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter.Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency on all applicable work instructions as well as growth after training and would be in a position to accept a full time position should one become available.REQUIREMENTS:Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; prefer college courses in a food or life science related field (i.e. food science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, physical sciences).Experience: Applicable laboratory experience is preferred.Computer Skills: General knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office Applications; Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred.Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.Special Skills: Good Laboratory PracticesSupervisory: NATravel: Travel with overnight stays is not typical.PLEASE REVIEW THE POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS BELOW.To view a full job description and submit your resume for consideration, click APPLY TO THIS POSITION below and follow the prompts.Apply for this job.
