Primary Location: United States (US) – Iowa (US-IA) – Waterloo Function: Customer & Product SupportTitle: Part Time Student – Customer and Product Support – Waterloo, IA – 51191 Your ResponsibilitiesThis role will provide support for a dynamic team focused on John Deere Tractor Customer Uptime and Customer and Product Support deliverables for current and future tractor programs.Activities will include, but are not limited to:Assisting with Customer and Product Support training development including:Collaborating with CS Planning and Analytics Leader to develop training materialReviewing training materialOrganizing training into central storage locationPlanning training sessions with Customer Support Planning teamTracking and reporting Customer Support Planning activity status and communicating directly with Customer Support Planners when action is required.Developing templates and guidance documents for common Customer Support activities.Updating key performance indicator dashboards.Leveraging the latest technology in supporting Customer Support Engineers with data gathering and conducting product reviews. What It TakesGreat interpersonal skills, ability to influence without authority, and work on a teamOrganizational and communication skills (both written and verbal)Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and time managementMicrosoft Office Programs: Excel, Word, and PowerPointPursuing a four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Ag Technology, Engineering/Engineering Technology, or related degree programsMust be registered as a full-time student at a local universityMust be able to commute to the work location on a daily basisGraduation date of May 2020 or later Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above16 – 20 hours/week during the academic year35 – 40 hours/week during the summer semester A strong candidate will also haveExperience developing and providing trainingBasic understanding of John Deere dealer/distributor network; with service and sales focusKnowledge of farm equipment business and familiarity with current tractor offeringsTechnical tractor system knowledgeExtended Microsoft suite of products including: SharePoint, Office, and Outlook (e-mail and calendar scheduling) What You'll GetAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
