Parts Manager

Details: In the past 22 years, our client’s company has grown from humble beginnings to an aggressive marketing and sales organization. They recently moved all operations to a 60,000 square foot facility, in the middle of the DFW Metroplex. We would like to announce the opening of a position at this great and growing company. They are looking for someone from the Trucking or Heavy equipment industry. Parts Manager Responsibilities: ïÂ? • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them ïÂ? • Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all parts department staff ïÂ? • Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department ïÂ? • Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts, and the do-it-yourself public ïÂ? • Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty ïÂ? • Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover ïÂ? • Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence ïÂ? • Ensures that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory ïÂ? • Maintaining an orderly workplace ïÂ? • Working with the service department, Mfg Department, Customers and wholesale account representatives to ensure inventory is available when needed ïÂ? • Establishing competitive pricing specifications in various categories while generating sufficient profits and maintaining high customer satisfaction ïÂ? • Reviewing sales figures, costs and stock monthly to ensure budget benchmarks are met Job Requirements: ïÂ? • At least one year (1) of supervisory experience and one year of experience in an automotive parts department ïÂ? • Sales experience is also a plus ïÂ? • Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors ïÂ? • Required to maintain the profitability of a department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction ïÂ? • Required to not only understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations ïÂ? • May have to work extended hours, evenings and weekends to achieve their goals Please email if you are interested and qualified.
