Parts Room Attendant 4
SUMMARY: The parts room clerk is responsible for a multitude of different tasks. Basic knowledge of industrial equipment, parts and fasteners is a must. The parts room clerk will need to have superior people skills. Those skills will be greatly exercised through the continual contact and communication with vendors, suppliers, corporate personal and more frequently with working individuals of the facility. Proficient computer skills are mandatory. In particular working knowledge of the company's SAP system would be a plus. The clerk will need to display above average organizational skills by putting away inventory when received, keeping parts room clean, keeping track of all parts that enter and leave the room,etc. Clerk will also be required to do inventory on a daily basis. Additionally, clerks are accountable for requisitioning funds to be paid to outside contractors and for the payment of uncommon parts that are not in our operation system or are purchased from an un-routing supplier. Parts room clerks are required to follow proper hygiene practices and to follow proper safety procedures at all times. They must also perform any other job duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor. They may also be called on to work every weekend, on a different shift or may have to learn to drive a pallet jack or forklift.
