Pasture and Land Management Territory Manager

DescriptionCorteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager covering the Texas and Oklahoma areas, working from a home office (based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Oklahoma City or nearby areas) with weekly travel in the field. The Territory Manager will be a member of an industry-leading team and company that will work with customers in the Land and Vegetation Management market that serves various markets such as utility rights of ways, roadsides, total vegetation control and forestry markets.  Under the supervision of a District Sales Leader, the territory manager is responsible for the overall development and management of a sales territory to achieve annual sales plans.  Aligned with district and business unit goals, the territory manager is responsible for building demand, selling, and providing best in industry service for a portfolio of products to build profitable and sustainable business growth within an assigned geography. SupervisesNot a supervisory role.Interacts withApplicators, Land Managers, Forestry Managers, DOT Vegetation Management Managers, Investor Owned Utilities, Distribution Sales Representatives, District Sales Leader, Market Development Specialists, Territory Manager Peers, Product Managers, Program Managers, Customer Service, Field Scientists, and Regional Account Managers.SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to advocate/build business across multiple layers of influencers and decision makersdistribution, applicators, and end user customer; have the ability to progress through the sales process and follow up with key centers of influence; demonstrate industry knowledge, become proficient with product positioning and placement; posses strong technical skills; strong business skills and interests is a must with an entrepreneurial mindset; strong one-on-one and group presentation skills; demonstrate leadership and teamwork; customer-focused; proficient in computer technology; comfortable with risk; accepts individual responsibility and accountability; self-motivated.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible to develop and serve new and existing business markets; partner with strategic business partners to meet end user customer needs with Corteva Agrisciences product line and services to drive overall business growth.   Coach, train, and lead strategic business partners to achieve sales goals in the assigned territory in support of the business strategy and marketing planBuild and continually develop new business opportunities in new and existing marketsDevelop new customers through prospecting, networking, and partnering  Actively engage the larger selling team including field scientists, market development specialists, category marketing leads, sales leaders and account management to identify and satisfy business growth Build strong relationships with key end use customers and business partners who are considered centers of influence in the assigned territory Engage in business plans and goals with business partners and track sales progress to deliver on business commitments Effectively communicate customer benefits through a good technical understanding of the Corteva Agriscience product line-upActively promote the benefits of marketing programs and provide feedback to sales and marketing leadership on customer response Keep abreast of local market trends, customer needs, competitive products, programs and pricing structures and provide ongoing feedback to sales and marketing teamsTake a consultative selling approach to deliver value added sales and services to be a trusted advisor within the industry Professionally conduct meetings and trainings with key end use customers and business partners Effectively and proactively manage customer service calls and/or complaintsBecome a technical expert on Corteva and competitor products, as well as an expert on industry best practices on application methods Manage budgets and marketing programs with fiduciary and ethical responsibilityConduct business in a safe and ethical manner.  Maintain company vehicle and records properly, maintain a valid drivers license and safe driving record.Conduct all activities with a high level of professionalism and represent Corteva Agriscience each day in a manner that is ethical, respectful, and that would reflect positively on Corteva Agriscience Measurement of SuccessAchievement of annual sales planProgress towards and achievement of goals outline in yearly performance plansPositive team work, leadership initiative and interaction with peers and the broader business support staff Relationship status and impact with key business partners, key end use customers, and centers of influence within the pasture and land management industry within the assigned territoryAcquisition of new business by partnering with new prospects, developing new markets, or launching new productsTechnical skill development and abilities as it relates to product and industry knowledge Business retention and service with current loyal customers and business partners    Training and administrative complianceQualificationsBachelors Degree Required. Relevant disciplines: agronomy, agriculture, business, biology, forestry, land management, weed science, reclamation, or related sciences fieldTwo or more years of sales experience within the ag chemical, seed, forestry, vegetation management, or reclamation industry is requiredPreferred sales experience with demonstrated record of success and growth is preferredAbility to work collaboratively within a team selling approachPossesses skills to manage relationships across multiple layers of key influencers Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills to be effective in a large geography 
deadline orientedDemonstrates technical aptitude on key products and management practices within the industry Understands and possess business and entrepreneurial skills and interestsStrong one-on-one and group presentation skillsDemonstrates leadership and teamworkProficiency in computer technology and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointComfortable with risk; accepts individual responsibility and accountabilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong time management skills and has the ability to prioritize Maintains a valid driver's license and a safe driving recordTravel Required25-75% overnight travel
