GROWMARK is large enough to offer solid career opportunities, but small enough to provide a family-oriented, welcoming environment and great benefits.See what it's like to work at GROWMARK:??https://youtu.be/IsXYA-oaFYo??PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Responsible for supporting and maintaining payroll system configuration, testing and implementing system updates and patches/enhancements, payroll processing, reporting, maintaining documentation and end user training.?SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP?Provides technical leadership, support and guidance to the payroll team and end users.?ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Provides technical support, troubleshooting and testing relating to system issues, updates, patches and enhancements.? Coordinates with IT, HR and other areas/end users.? Completes and tests payroll system configuration cost centers, GL accounts, locations, taxes and other tables to support payroll processing.?Serves as the main technical point of contact.? Supports payroll projects, acquisitions and Member Company payroll implementations. ?Participates in design sessions, gathers requirements and coordinates with HRIS, Finance and other HR and external groups to facilitate system setup and configuration.??Assists with testing of software patches/enhancements and additional features to the payroll system.? Maintains current knowledge of the HRIS/Payroll system and participates in webinars and training to stay current on new system features and upgrades.?Provides leadership for all payroll functions including reporting, processing of weekly, biweekly and semimonthly payrolls for U.S. and Canada.? Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local regulations.?Serves as the primary backup for the Payroll Tax Analyst. ?Submits periodic extracts to ADP Tax Service for U.S. corporations and sends ACH files to JP Morgan Chase Bank.? Verifies data received and releases extracts for processing and payment.?Identifies opportunities to improve, streamline and enhance existing processes.??Prepares/maintains documentation for Payroll processes and procedures for standardization of end user training materials.?Functions as a liaison with other HR areas, HR/Payroll Admins and the HR-IT Support team to troubleshoot, research and resolve discrepancies or payroll issues.??Tracks and audits system security for the payroll system.? Monitors internal controls.?Oversees inbound and outbound payroll interfaces and ensures files are processed timely.????OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?Follows GROWMARK?s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.?Performs all other duties as assigned.?REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires a minimum of a four-year degree in accounting, finance, business or the equivalent thereof, and 3-5 years or more of payroll processing experience to demonstrate payroll knowledge of accounting principles and concepts, payroll functions and payroll computer programs.?Must be FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certified or be willing to complete certification within two years of hire.?Prefer experience with SAP Payroll.? Demonstrated use and application of payroll technical standards, principles, concepts and end to end payroll processes.?Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.? Must have excellent quantitative and analytical skills.?Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.?Understanding and experience with payroll processing, taxes, analysis, reconciliation, general ledger, billing, control functions, journals, implementations, conversions, audits and report generation.?This position requires an extremely detail orientated person with significant knowledge of payroll administration, including state and federal regulations.? Must have proven experience with payroll processing, taxes, analysis, reconciliation, general ledger, billing, control functions, journals, implementations, conversions, audits and report generation.?Proven professional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.?Demonstrated planning, organization, and problem-solving skills and the ability to meet established deadlines, perform complex accounting functions, do multi-tasking, and analytical projects as requested.Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and the ability to travel overnight and to work overtime as necessary.Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK?s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.?We are an equal opportunity employer, including protected veterans and qualified individuals with disabilities.
